It is with immense sadness and love that we honour the life of Father Daniel Palillo, a loving
Reverend to his many parishes that he served; brother, uncle, great uncle and great grand
uncle. Father Dan left this world on December 25, 2024, at the age of 92.
Father Dan was born on April 10, 1932, in the city of Lucena in the province of Quezon. Son of the Late Rosario and Eliseo. Father Dan served the community parishes in the Philippines and Canada for 69 years, leaving behind a legacy of love and admiration from the community. Father Dan has four brothers and four sisters. His sisters are Felicidad. Lourdes, Remedios Rosario. His brothers are Rodolfo, Ely, Enrico and Alberto. His nieces in Canada are Floralyn, Mildred, Maribel, Marivic and Lynn Marie. His nephews are Eric and Allen. His great nephews are Andrew, Elijah, Matthew, Miles and Alex. His great nieces are Kassidy, Juliana, Isabella, Nicola, and Angelica. His great grand nephew is Gannon. His great grand nieces are Falynn, Makenna, Clara, Evelynn and Renly.
He will be deeply missed by his family and parishioners through his years of service. He will be remembered for his love, kindness, gentleness, generosity and unwavering belief in God that he shared with all he touched. He will be remembered fondly for his wonderful songs and beautiful voice that he shared with everyone. He will continue to inspire his friends and family with his faith and kindness. Father Dan you will be missed but never forgotten, you will always be in our hearts.
Friends will be received at the Accettone Funeral Home (384 Finley Ave., Ajax) on Monday December 30, 2024 from 4 - 8 pm, with the vigil at 4:30pm.
The Service will be at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church (21 Bayly Street East, Ajax) Tuesday December 31st, 2024 at 11am, with a reception to follow.
Internment will take place Tuesday December 31st, 2024 at 12:30pm at Christ The King.

You were our pastor for 10 years at St. Bernadette's, and a dear friend for life. We will miss you.
Your collaborative team approach, particularly in the areas we were involved with in music, parish maintenance and new build, transformed the parish. Seldomly does one experience the level of volunteerism you were able to inspire. Parish Pastor is an all encompassing role, never easy, however with your pleasant, unassuming, and flexible ways, the parish community flourished and was a joy to be part of.
Currently being out of the country, we deeply regret not being able to attend the final mass in your honour. Our deepest sympathies are hereby extended to all those whose lives you touched during your lifetime.

Father Dan was devoted, caring, joyful and accessible to all in good times and in the very worst of times. He made everyone feel like they mattered to him. He loved to share a good laugh. His powerful and beautifully rich singing voice... when he started to sing, my family would just look at each other, smile and know that we were in the presence of gifted Angel. Our pre-Saturday evening Mass "very back, confessional side pew" chats? We missed them dearly after your retirement as well. On behalf of my late Parents and myself, thank you for everything, dear Father Dan. You will rest in peace and rise in glory.
