SIMPSON, Eleanor Eleanor Simpson (nee Sheehan) born July 11, 1925 in Ottawa. Passed away on July 22, 2024 at Silverthorn Care Community, Mississauga. Beloved wife of James (predeceased 2002). Loving mother of Patricia Batho (Ted), Robert (Clare) and James (Diana). Proud grandmother of Meghan, Lauren (Ian), Paige (Steven), Lucas, and Dominik (Sam). Devoted "GG" of Anabelle and Dean. Cherished sister of James and sister-in-law of Beverley Sheehan. Predeceased by sisters Marguerite (Henry) and Patricia (Alec) and brother Leslie (Therese). Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a longtime resident of Ajax and was involved with many church and community groups. She was renowned for her chocolate chip cookies and egg salad sandwiches. She enjoyed a long and full life. We will miss her. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada and Diabetes Canada are appreciated.
Friends will be received on Saturday July 27th, 2024 from 12 noon until the time of service in the chapel at 1 pm
